Over Labor Day weekend, Bogart and Stella went to their first herding trials and each came home with their first herding titles.  Stella is now A/C Ch Waldenmark's Hot Chocolat PT and Bogart is Ch Waldenmark's Here's Lookin' at Ewe PT.

Stella - A/C Ch Waldenmark's Hot Chocolat HIC CGC - won the breed all three days and a Group 4 placement at Rockland shows in Suffern NY.

December 2006

December 7-8, 2006 - Boston, MA.....Bogart finished his championship on his grandpa Jake's 16th birthday!!! So Bogart is now Ch Waldenmark's Here's Lookin' at Ewe and he is Goldie's 9th Ch. One more and Goldie will have her C-BAR, like her mom Nell.

Bogart started in the breed ring on November 10, has 5 majors and got his Ch in one month. Along the way he had 3 BBE group 3's and 2 BBE group 4's, a couple of BOB's and a couple of BOS's (over specials). I finished him exclusively from the BBE class.

It was quite a whirlwind.......but it was especially sweet that he finished on Jake's 16th b'day.

November 2006

Two Ewe pups made their debut in the show ring during the weekend of Nov 10-12.

Paso Robles, CA.......
On Sat and Sun, Zorro - Waldenmark's Ewenique - was WD/BOW for 2 pts each day, coming home with 4 pts toward his Ch. He was proudly handled by Kathryn Erickson, owner of Zorro's sire, BOSS Ch Aftershock's Cardinal Sin PT 'McGwire'. Zorro also got a Puppy Group 2 on Sat.

Fitchburg, MA.......
Bogart - Waldenmark's Here's Lookin at Ewe - was entered Fri, Sat, Sun. On both Fri and Sat he won BBE in breed and went on to get BBE Group 3s.
On Sun he was WD/BOW and BOB over 3 specials which resulted in his getting a 4 pt major.
We stayed for BBE herding group (it was a long day since we were in breed at 8:30 a.m.) and he got another BBE G3. He was the youngest BBE in the group all 3 days.

Syracuse, NY......
Bogart adds 2 more pts toward his Ch by going WD/BOW which brings his Ch point count to 6.

Sat, under judge Joe Tacker, Roman - BIS A/C Ch Waldenmark's Double Entendre - is BOB and his sister Stella - A/C Ch Waldenmark's Hot Chocolat - is BOS.

On Sunday, Roman once again is BOB and goes on to a Group 2.

Springfield, MA.........
Bogart won 2 more majors plus 1 point by going WD/BOW all 3 days and adding a BOB to his win on Monday. With 3 majors and 3 single points under his paws, he has 13 pts toward his CH.

Stella was BOS on Friday and BOS on Sat at our supported entry.

BIS A/C Ch Waldenmark's Double Entendre, aka 'Roman', is invited to the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship show in Long Beach, CA.

Roman is 3rd in All Breed ranking as listed in the Canine Chronicle.

September 2006

'Keya', from our Double litter, who only needed 1 point to finish her Am Ch, finished with a 4 pt major at the Finger Lakes show. In addition to that she finished the day off with two agility titles.....NAJ and NJW. She is now A/C Ch Waldenmark's Dbl Keyed at WindyPt NAJ NJW AADC A/C RN

Meanwhile, Captain, from our Tea litter, Q'd in Novice Open. Captain is ATChC Waldenmark's Captn T at WindyPt NAJ Cdn RAE.


The Canine Chronincle rankings through August 31 show that BIS Ch Waldenmark's Double Entendre is ranked 3 in All Breed; A/C Ch Waldenmark's Hot Chocolat HIC is ranked 16.

Bogart went to his first official AKC sanctioned puppy match.....he won the puppy breed and went on get a Group 1 !!!!




At the end of July, we went to the Kingston, Ontario shows. Roman wo breed two out of the four days and got his Canadian Ch and two group placements. Stella won the breed the other two days.

A highlight of the weekend was a puppy match on Thursday evening. I had 3.5 mo old Bogart along and so I entered him in the 3-6 mos class. He won the puppy breed and went on to a group 3 placement. Bogart is out of our Ewe litter - BOSS Ch Aftershock's Cardinal Sin PT and A/C BISS BOSS Ch Waldenmark's Golden Espresso A/C CD HIT HIC RN.

Heather McKay called to tell me that Captain has achieved his ATChC!!!! ATChC is Agility Trial Champion of Canada.

This is a huge accomplishment. Captain is from our Tea litter which is now (gasp) 5 yrs old. The ATChC is equivalent to the AKC MACH or USDAA ADCH or NADAC NATCH.

'Roman' - Ch Waldenmark's Double Entendre - got back-to-back G1s at the Riverhead NY shows and went on to get a Best in Show!!!!! Roman is out of Ch Acajou et Chimay Gigolo and Multiple BISS BOSS A/C Ch Waldenmark's Golden Espresso A/C CD HIT HIC.

Besides this BIS, from the Chocolate and Double litters, Goldie has produced 9 champions to date - 6 of which are group winning and/or group placing. Needless to say, we are very very proud.......

On the NH/VT dog show circuit, our Stella - A/C Ch Waldenmark's Hot Chocolat HIC CGC - won breed 3 out of the 5 days and got a G3.

At the ABTC National Specialty, Stella - aka A/C Ch Waldenmark's Hot Chocolat - who had never been in the company of sheep before, did wonderfully during her herding instinct test and easily earned her HIC.

 Texas - Theresa Hunter with Chocolate boy Chip wrote the following:

"Chip and I went to a herding trial over this past weekend and, judging by his performance in the Junior Herding Dog class on Saturday, I was ready to turn in my shepherds crook, but let me tell you his performance on Sunday totally redeemed him. I had him entered in his class in the morning run and was literally holding my breath when suddenly the light bulb came on and he had an outstanding run. The tester told me as I left the pen what a beautiful working dog and a great handling job. What a boost to one's confidence, so on that note I entered for the afternoon run and again a great run and another leg!!! So now his title is CH Waldenmark's Chocolate Chip HT JHD...... 
Just a side note .... our run on Saturday was done on goats which he has never worked before, so Sunday I changed his run to sheep and what difference."

Coffee boy 'Max' - BISS/BOSS Ch Waldenmark's Master Blend CD CGC - got his second BVIS (Best Veteran in Show). He is definitely following his father's pawprints.

Syracuse NY - Heather McKay came down from Canada with her two Waldenmark pooches and accomplished the following:

From the Double litter.....Cdn Ch Waldenmark's Dbl Keyed at Windypt AADC can now add A/C RN behind her name. She also placed first in a very competitive agility Novice jumpers with weaves class with a perfect run. A beautiful clean run that I was pleased to witness.

In the breed ring, she took the points all four days including winning the breed twice, beating specials along the way. This gave her her second 4 pt major plus an additional 6 points. So she went home to Canada with 14 points.

From the Tea litter.....Waldenmark's Captn T at Windypt A/C CD Cdn RAE MADC, MSDC, MGDC, MJDC can now add Am RE and NAJ behind his name. Captain also won his agility class and got his first Am CDX leg.

Stella was BOS on Friday.

Rockland NY shows - Stella goes BOB and twice BOS. She is currently ranked 7 in All Breed Canine Chronicle rankings. Her cousin Joey - Ch Hawkeye's You U Want It - is ranked 15.
